About Us

Your Healthiest Smile Starts Here

Hi, I'm Amanda! I’ve been a registered dental hygienist for over 18 years, and during that time, I’ve cared for countless patients and really taken a deep look inside their mouths. The more I observed, the more I began to question why oral health is often treated as separate from the rest of the body.

Over the past five years, I’ve been diving deeply into the oral-systemic connection. I’ve seen firsthand how oral bacteria and mouth health are linked to common systemic conditions such as Alzheimer’s, strokes, respiratory infections, pancreatic cancer, and gut dysbiosis. But it doesn’t stop there—the mouth can tell us so much about overall wellness.

What your mouth can tell me about your overall health

Signs in the mouth can reveal:

  • Celiac disease or gut imbalances
  • Hormone fluctuations and mineral deficiencies
  • Airway issues that may contribute to ADHD or neurological challenges, behavioral disorders, fatigue, sleep disruptions,

These are insights rarely taught in dental school, but with the growth of functional medicine and biological dentistry, these connections are becoming clearer—and more actionable.

How can I help...

  • Cavities are not just a sign of sugar intake—they can point to mineral deficiencies in the diet.
  • Gum disease can indicate gut dysbiosis or leaky gut.
  • Chronic bad breath is often more than what you just ate—it can be a window into your gut and overall microbiome health.

Using saliva diagnostics and trace mineral testing, I work with patients to create personalized plans that support their overall health, not just their teeth. Oral health is the gateway to wellness, and by looking beyond the mouth, we can uncover underlying imbalances and empower lasting change.

Nutritional Counseling

My goal is to meet people where they are. I want to help those who have been “doing all the right things” with their oral health—brushing, flossing, and seeing the dentist regularly—but still face challenges like cavities, gum disease, or persistent bad breath. These are not minor issues; they are important clues about what may be happening systemically.

Biological Hygienist

A biological dental hygienist looks beyond teeth and gums to understand how oral health connects to the rest of the body. With HIAOMT training, I approach care through a whole-body, evidence-informed lens—considering airway health, inflammation, nutrition, lifestyle, and environmental exposures that can influence oral conditions.

With HIAOMT training, I approach care through a whole-body, evidence-informed lens—considering airway health, inflammation, nutrition, lifestyle, and environmental exposures that can influence oral conditions.

For virtual patients, this means education, coaching, and personalized guidance that focuses on root causes, not just symptoms. My goal is to help you better understand your oral health, advocate for yourself in clinical settings, and make informed choices that support long-term wellness—no matter where you’re located.
